IMO, whenever it comes to isolating those lats for bodybuilding we are not concerned about getting the ROM, we are also focusing on using the correct muscles (the back, not our arms) to get us from point A to point B.  Please read down below!

"Definitely one of the greatest exercises for the lats/back muscles.

✅✅✅ When we try pull ups or pull downs or chin ups, the number ONE thing we need to do (both for safety and back development) is to LOCK those scapulas down and back before starting the pull. It's the most important thing you need to remember, if you want to develop those wings because that's actually "how" you engage your back muscles.⁣
⁣
When learning the exercise, it's always a good to start with a protraction of the shoulder blades (letting them lose) and then proceed to retract and depress them (lock them down and back) before you pull yourself up for each rep.⁣

❌❌❌ If you don't go through this step, chances are you'll never get to learn the proper execution and get some form of shoulder injury in the long term.⁣

Day 10 Assisted Pull Up!

Yesterdays weighted pull upsbwill today be followed by the assisted pull up to get me to do 10-15 reps. I will use a machine or a band.

Here’s how to do an assisted pull-up:

Clench your butt and keep your abs tight throughout the exercise – try not to swing like crazy.

Keep your shoulder blades pinched behind you throughout the movement and focus on PULLING the bar down with your arms.

Use the least amount of assistance that you can handle – as soon as you can do multiple pull-ups with both feet on the chair, switch to just one foot.

If you’re using an exercise band, try to get a few bands of varying tension so you can decrease the resistance as you get stronger.

Resultater og fremgang🌟 Noget der motiverer mig rigtig meget! Jeg får ret hurtigt blod på tanden, hvis jeg føler, ser eller mærker en fremgang hvad enten det er præstationsmæssigt eller udseendesmæssigt. Lige pt mærker jeg en fremgang i overkroppen! Selvom mit fokus altid har lagt på ben og baller er jeg begyndt at elske mine ryg- og skuldertræninger og sætter dem oftere på programmet, hvilket også betyder at jeg min styrke er steget og mullerne måske også er vokset lidt 💪🏼🙈 faktisk veksler jeg lige pt mellem bentræninger og ryg/skuldertræninger. “Jamen træner du så ikke arme?” Jo jeg træner mine triceps med et par øvelser men ellers ikke. 👉🏼MILITARY PRESS:  focus on keeping your core tight so you’re not swaying to get the bar up.  You want to use your shoulders - not momentum!

👉🏼CABLE SIDE RAISE: if you want shoulder definition- it’s very important to do side shoulder exercises so you hit all of the muscles! I love this variation more than the dumbbell one when I have time..
👉🏼WEIGHTED CUCOONS: technically an ab exercise but you work both your upper and lower abs and get some arm action too.

👉🏼WEIGHTED PULL UPS: such a great exercise to do for back development and strength.  Plus it makes you look cool so..

Whoever hasn’t done a reverse diet, you have completely missed out. Adding calories to your diet strategically can have glorious effects on increasing strength and muscle mass. This is why so many athletes “bulk” in the offseason, then “cut” to show off their progress during the season of Spring to Fall!! The suns out guns out season!!! I’m at over 4000 calories per day on average and adding about a pound of body weight per week. Nice slow gain. Can’t wait to see my my body come spring time...who knows maybe I’ll step on stage again.

Back/shoulder day 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼this is LITERALLY the only part of my body that doesn’t look good after one work out. I can literally have one leg day, look great. Eat right for one day and maybe do a sit up and ABS. I’m not sure if it’s the tumor in my bone or literally just the fact that my arms and back just don’t grow or define. But, I’ll keep trying to over come this for LITERALLY ever. I AM BACK! To make it short I was to stupid to give my body a proper rest so I let it rest for like a week felt good the week after and never really recovered and now I got what I deserved and was REALLY out....I didn't workout for 4 weeks and it shows! The 160kg/353lbs didn't move as fast and easy as they did and I generally lost strength and weight I went from 128kg/282lbs to 120kg/265lbs body weight and the muscle to fat ratio isn't what it should be...so alot of work to do to get back! Which pisses me off but I will bounce back!

ICH BIN ZURÜCK! Um es kurz zu fassen war ich zu blöd meinem Körper genug Pause zu geben...Ich hab ihm immer mal ne Woche Pause gegeben und wenn es scheinbar wieder gut war wieder trainiert und somit einen Infekt lange verschleppt und dafür gab es jetzt die Quittung ich war richtig krank und habe 4 Wochen nicht trainiert die längste Zeit, die ich am Stück nicht trainiert habe und es zeigt sich! Ich bin von 128kg auf 120kg Körpergewicht gesunken und die 160kg haben sich nicht so schnell und einfach bewegt wie sonst....Ich habe Kraft und Masse eingebüßt und das Verhältnis von Fett zu Muskeln ist auch eher schlecht als recht! Also viel zu tun aber ich kriege das denke ich alles schnell wieder!

Full BACK & SHOULDERS Pull Workout.

This took me 40 minutes and consisted of 3 back exercises and 2 shoulder exercises. So if you're short on time, then bookmark this post.

Fun fact: shoulders are considered to be both push AND pull muscles.

Exercises like shoulder press or any other kind of military press would be considered pushing exercises and can be trained with chest to make a complete push workout.

Likewise exercises like rear delt flyes, lateral raises, and upright rows are considered to be pulling exercises and can be done with back to make a complete pull workout.

So there was a fun little fact 😂 hope that helps!

Personally nothing works my back quite like using cables, the constant tension of using a cable really works well for how the back musculature works‼️Seriously though this workout burned, give it a go if you want to mix things up a bit in your routine and add some constant tension to your back for increase gains! 🔥 .

I've started using longer ropes (or two ropes together) for cable pullovers. I find you can get a better range of motion as you're less restricted. Give it a try see what you think, you'll have to leave your ego at the door and lighten the load though.

Nach etwas längerer Zeit gibt es mal wieder einen Post von mir🤙🏼

Heute wieder ein kleines Kraftausdauertraining hingelegt, um die Muskalatur dran zu erinnern...das auch sie noch zu arbeiten hat.

In den letzten Tagen/Wochen gab es hauptsächlich Stabi/Mobilisationstraining für die Schulter. .
Eigentlich stand heute wieder ein kleines @yab.fitness Workout im Plan...aber so spektakulär wie ich gewesen bin, hab ich meine yab's heute morgen im Auto vergessen 🤦🏽‍♂️
Also gab es ein kleines Ganzkörperworkout mit den Smartbars von @lesmillsgermany.

Es wird noch einige Zeit brauchen, bis schwerere Gewichte zu stemmen sind. .
Aber egal morgen geht es endlich wieder zu @robertnestorbjj in die #bjjakademieberlin um zu testen, ob es möglich ist wieder zu rollen. .

#backattack - Bästa starten på en ny vecka! 😍 Kan även erkänna utan att skämmas att jag hoppade över marklyften. Psyket var inte med på det idag.  Men hör och häpna - jag avslutade med att träna mage 😱 Första gången sen september tror jag 😂 
Har även insett att 40 och 45 kg stångrodd är för lätt numera så från och med idag ska jag nöta 50 kg tills jag får till bra teknik med den vikten 😍

I have received a lot of questions on why I don't post a lot of pull-up stuff recently and here's why: My 2019 was riddled with anti-pull-up injuries (biceps, elbow, forearm, thumb ligament) and I haven't been able to be as consistent with my training as I would have liked to. As you may know, bodyweight exercises demand a fair bit of maintenance or they become a pain in the neck, and that's just what happened. I attempted max reps the other night and got to 25 so that's not too shabby, but my pull-up stamina isn't great and my max pulls aren't either. Anyway, things are looking a little brighter now, so hopefully I can pick up the pace in 2020! ✌️😁🔥

•Because this is one crazy good picture I’ve never posted.👠 •Blood, loads of sweat, a lot of tears lead before that day. It was all worth it.👏👏👏
•The gym was my therapy. My goals to compete in a show compelled me to go back day after day in the beginning. It turned in a game, and I have always had a competitive side. Bodybuilding won me over, and I love learning all about it. On the flip side, it has also helped me become a better nurse.👩‍⚕️ And ya know, being strong is a perk for the healthcare field because when you lift, I lift.🙂💪 •Motto for Monday•
