That’s fantastic news! Am so pleased. It’s lovely to see how others have come up with the same seeds :) Thanks so much!
@switteringnow A bit of both. Some are from years before re-seeding. Some are new seeds where it looked bare. There are a few summer bulbs here and there too. The verbena was a perennial was seems to self seed everywhere. No particular planning and overall little effort.
This is fabulous to see! Thank you. Please cut the cornflowers once dried (just cut the dry bud off near the top) and they’ll come back. Keep the dried buds for a month then massage them and new seeds will pop out. Also Cosmos - trim once flowered - should flower until late Oct.
@fionamusiclakes @GrangeCESchool @cumbriawildlife @WildlifeTrusts Thank you Fiona. So glad they are starting to bloom.
@fionamusiclakes @GrangeCESchool @cumbriawildlife @WildlifeTrusts Looking lovely! Thanks for sharing. So glad they have been a success!
@fionamusiclakes Thanks Fiona. That’s wonderful news. Please keep sharing the pics. It’s all looking lovely!
@Ajad_d You can also dig much smaller patches here and there either Autumn or Spring to establish small spots of different colours. But the good thing is you have a background carpet now to build upon.
@Ajad_d That is lovely to hear - thank you so much. Yes agree it feels good to be doing something re insect decline and helping wildlife. Don’t worry about the balance. Every year is different and it always amazes how many new seeds come from nowhere the following year!
RT @Ajad_d: @WaltzGarden as your first seed customer thought you’d like to see how it’s going( we have a wild flower mix too and corn camom…
@Ajad_d Wow - that is beautiful . Wonderful to see. That is a full coverage! Thanks so much for sharing. Really looks quite spectacular. 👍
